TikTok Benchmarks 2026: Views, Video Length and View Dips From 7,249 Videos
Creafico analyzed 7,249 public TikTok videos posted between January 1 and October 7, 2026, by 1,413 creator accounts. The median video got 3,537 views, and follower count makes a huge difference: the typical video from an account under 10K followers got 658 views, while the typical video from a 1M+ account got 290,950.
These are the full tables behind our guides to TikTok shadowbans and how much TikTok pays per view, plus exactly how we collected and cleaned the data.
Key findings
- The median TikTok video posted in 2026 got 3,537 views (7,249 videos, 1,413 accounts).
- Only 2.5% of videos from accounts under 10K followers reached 100,000 views, compared with 68.4% from accounts with 1M+ followers.
- 42.5% of videos were 1 minute or longer, the minimum for TikTok's Creator Rewards Program. The other 57.5% couldn't earn from it.
- Within the same follower tier, videos of 1 minute or more got 1.11x to 2.02x the median views of shorter videos. The 2.64x gap across all accounts mostly reflects that bigger accounts post more long videos.
- View dips are normal: 31.0% of videos got less than half of the creator's recent baseline, and 12.9% got less than 20%, including 13.9% of videos from 1M+ accounts.
- Only 4.0% of accounts (22 of 546) had three videos in a row under 20% of their baseline.
- The median creator posts 8.6 to 12.3 videos a month, depending on follower tier.
Views per video by follower tier
| Follower tier | 25th percentile | Median | 75th percentile | 90th percentile | Videos | Accounts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| All accounts | 627 | 3,537 | 38,018 | 288,646 | 7,249 | 1,413 |
| Under 10K | 285 | 658 | 1,997 | 10,100 | 3,236 | 662 |
| 10K to 100K | 1,575 | 6,729 | 29,426 | 165,927 | 1,847 | 350 |
| 100K to 1M | 7,009 | 29,334 | 147,329 | 538,382 | 1,517 | 294 |
| 1M+ | 66,394 | 290,950 | 1,061,725 | 3,012,208 | 649 | 107 |
Averages are much higher than medians (398,519 views across all videos) because a few viral videos pull them up, so we report medians and percentiles.
How many videos reach each view count
| Follower tier | 1K+ views | 10K+ views | 100K+ views | 1M+ views |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All accounts | 67.2% | 38.4% | 17.0% | 4.5% |
| Under 10K | 38.8% | 10.0% | 2.5% | 0.3% |
| 10K to 100K | 82.4% | 42.7% | 12.9% | 2.5% |
| 100K to 1M | 95.2% | 70.1% | 30.7% | 5.9% |
| 1M+ | 100.0% | 93.5% | 68.4% | 27.7% |
Video length and Creator Rewards eligibility
TikTok's Creator Rewards Program only pays on videos that are 1 minute or longer.
| Follower tier | Share 1 min or longer | Share over 1 min | Median views (1 min+) | Median views (under 1 min) | Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| All accounts | 42.5% | 33.3% | 6,071 | 2,296 | 2.64x |
| Under 10K | 35.4% | 26.6% | 710 | 639 | 1.11x |
| 10K to 100K | 45.2% | 36.3% | 7,746 | 6,079 | 1.27x |
| 100K to 1M | 52.6% | 43.1% | 42,372 | 20,999 | 2.02x |
| 1M+ | 46.8% | 34.5% | 344,539 | 218,628 | 1.58x |
“Share over 1 min” excludes videos of exactly 60 seconds, a common recorded length. The all-accounts ratio (2.64x) is larger than the ratio in any single tier because larger accounts post a higher share of long videos and get more views on everything. Length alone doesn't create reach.
Posting frequency
| Follower tier | 25th percentile | Median | 75th percentile | Accounts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 10K | 3.2 | 8.6 | 15.4 | 550 |
| 10K to 100K | 4.9 | 10.0 | 18.1 | 314 |
| 100K to 1M | 5.6 | 11.8 | 18.3 | 264 |
| 1M+ | 6.2 | 12.3 | 17.5 | 101 |
Videos per month, for accounts whose 2026 uploads span at least 7 days.
How often views dip
We compared each video with the creator's baseline: the median views of their previous 5 videos. Each account's first 5 videos only serve as its starting baseline. This covers 546 accounts with at least 10 videos in 2026 (2,954 evaluated videos).
| Videos below baseline | All accounts | Under 10K | 10K to 100K | 100K to 1M | 1M+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 50% | 31.0% | 27.5% | 32.8% | 35.8% | 34.3% |
| Under 20% | 12.9% | 11.4% | 13.6% | 15.4% | 13.9% |
| Under 10% | 6.5% | 7.2% | 5.8% | 6.1% | 5.5% |
| Evaluated videos | 2,954 | 1,387 | 713 | 545 | 309 |
Streaks: 22 of 546 accounts (4.0%) had three or more videos in a row under 20% of baseline. Half of those streaks spanned less than 10 hours (median 0.4 days, 75th percentile 1.7 days), meaning the videos were posted in quick succession. Tier-level streak counts are too small to report separately.
Videos needed to earn $100 and $1,000
These are calculations, not payouts: each tier's median views for videos of 1 minute or longer, multiplied by a $0.40 or $1.00 RPM (the commonly reported range per 1,000 qualified views), rounded up to whole videos. They assume every view qualifies, which overstates earnings. If half your views qualify, double the number of videos. Accounts under 10K followers can't join the Creator Rewards Program.
| Follower tier | Median views (1 min+) | For $100 at $0.40 RPM | For $100 at $1.00 RPM | For $1,000 at $0.40 RPM | For $1,000 at $1.00 RPM |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10K to 100K | 7,746 | 33 | 13 | 323 | 130 |
| 100K to 1M | 42,372 | 6 | 3 | 60 | 24 |
| 1M+ | 344,539 | 1 | 1 | 8 | 3 |
Methodology
Source. Public profile data from TikTok accounts submitted to Creafico's free TikTok profile analyzer between July 25 and October 14, 2026. Each analysis captures an account's 10 to 15 most recent videos with their public view counts, length and post date, plus the account's follower count at that time.
Cleaning.
| Step | Videos remaining | Removed |
|---|---|---|
| All collected posts (2,468 accounts) | 20,793 | None |
| Remove pinned posts | 17,877 | 2,916 |
| Keep only videos posted in 2026 | 16,665 | 1,212 |
| Remove duplicates (keep the latest capture) | 16,418 | 247 |
| Remove videos less than 7 days old | 7,249 | 9,169 |
Pinned posts are removed because they're usually a creator's older viral hits and would inflate every benchmark. Videos under 7 days old are removed because their view counts are still climbing.
Definitions.
- Follower tiers: under 10K, 10K to 100K, 100K to 1M, and 1M+, based on followers when the video was captured.
- Long video: 1 minute or longer (60 seconds or more).
- Baseline: the median views of the creator's previous 5 videos.
- Slump streak: 3 or more consecutive videos, each under 20% of baseline.
Limitations.
- Creators who use an analyzer may skew toward people checking a drop, so dips could be slightly overrepresented.
- View counts are public totals. TikTok pays on qualified views, which we can't see, so earnings figures are upper bounds.
- We don't have niche or audience country data, so we can't break results down by either.
- Each analysis captures only an account's recent videos, so long-run patterns per creator are out of scope.
- Photo posts can't be reliably separated from videos and are counted as under 1 minute.
Privacy. All figures are aggregated. No usernames, video links or captions are published. Profile data is processed as described in our privacy policy, and creators can request removal.
